Objectives

The main objectives of the ICB are:

  1. To receive referrals in relation to complaints in connection with or arising from personal insurance contracts and to facilitate the satisfaction, settlement or withdrawal of such complaints by the making of awards or by such other means as shall seem expedient.

  2. To consult, instruct or obtain advice from counsellors, professional advisers of every kind, experts, adjudicators, mediators and arbitrators, as may be thought fit.

  3. To establish and maintain rules with the objectives that ICB shall be recognized as a guarantee of integrity, competence and high standards of service.
